OUR STORY
The success of a modern bakery operation depends largely upon two key areas: production efficiency and time management.
A baker by trade, Lambert Van Olst understood firsthand the challenges faced by bakeries and recognized the need to reduce labor costs while increasing productivity. In 1980, he founded LVO Manufacturing in Rock Rapids, Iowa, and developed the company’s first well-constructed, low-cost pan washer.
Lambert’s experience in the baking industry, combined with his commitment to quality and innovation, established the foundation for LVO’s growth. Over the years, the company expanded its product line to include Pan & Rack Washers, Sheeter/Moulders, Production Tables and Conveyors, all designed to improve efficiency and productivity in bakery operations.
Lambert retired from LVO in 2005, but his vision and dedication to the business continued through his family. Lambert passed away in 2021, leaving behind a legacy that continues to shape LVO today.
LVO TODAY
Today, LVO remains a family-owned and operated business, continuing the tradition Lambert established more than 40 years ago.
Lambert’s daughter, Laura Stuerman, serves as President, with her husband, Leroy Stuerman, serving as Vice President. Their sons, Scott and Eric Stuerman, are also actively involved in the family business. Scott works in sales and marketing, while Eric is involved in machining and production.
Together, the Stuerman family continues to carry forward Lambert’s commitment to quality craftsmanship, dependable equipment and personal service. With generations of family involvement and decades of experience, LVO remains dedicated to helping bakeries operate more efficiently while providing the quality and service our customers have come to expect.
Each employee at LVO is part of one big family, taking pride in continuing Lambert’s tradition of producing great-quality products, innovative features and dependable service.
